When it comes to wedding preparations, we always think about bride-to-be’s getting stressed with meticulous routines, but feeling even more beautiful as the special day approaches. However, it is also important for grooms to make the most out of their wedding day.
Are you excited to spend the rest of your life with your wife-to-be? The morning before your wedding ceremony is very important—make the most out of it! Spend it with your best friends. Here are 8 techniques that will make you feel inspired all day long.
1. Get Very Active and Sweaty
This day would be very emotional and tiring day so make sure to physically prepare yourself. Fuel up and get moving! It’s very important to work out and release the nervous energy.
Why not play football or basketball with your guy friends? If you are staying in a hotel with your dog, play frisbee with him. By engaging in a physical activity, you can clear your mind, and shift to a positive mindset. It’s important to carry this positivity the entire day!
2. Start Your Day Early
According to wedding & event planners, it is highly recommended for every bride and groom to start their day early. This is not the perfect day to sleep in! Even though the morning isn’t filled with tasks, you would want to make sure that everything is in order. Just in case you don’t know where to start, borrow your wife-to-be’s timeline and checklists. In some instances, sharing these lists to your groomsmen is also important.
3. Make Sure That You Are Looking Your Best
Who would want to look stressed and nervous in their special day? See to it that you are looking and feeling your best. It’s also nice to give your friends and groomsmen relaxing treats. Remember, the bride and her bridesmaids are not the only ones who should be pampered. Go ahead and call a barber to give all the guys a straight-razor shave!
4. Get Dressed Early
It is a general rule for the groom and his groomsmen to begin dressing up around 45 minutes before a picture taking session. By starting early, you will have lots of extra time to take more photos. Moreover, in case you forget your jacket or any other accessory, you are free to go back and get it without feeling rushed.
5. Eat a Big Meal
Plan a big meal, maybe a huge breakfast, with your groomsmen before the ceremony starts. Take note that this might be the last time you can eat something until the reception. If you can, treat yourself and eat at the best breakfast joint around. You can also rely on a food delivery service, so you can get ready while enjoying hearty meals. Of course, don’t forget to drink coffee!
6. Distribute Gifts to Your Groomsmen
Just in case you didn’t have that chance to give away gifts to your groomsmen during the rehearsal dinner, set aside a little time that morning before the wedding ceremony. Are you giving away wallets, watches or other personalized presents? As much as possible, choose personalized items for every groomsman.
7. Mentally Prepare Yourself for the Big Day Ahead
A huge fraction of this morning would definitely be spent with your groomsmen. However, make sure to allot a few special minutes or hours for yourself. Write your vows. Check the honeymoon bags. Pray or meditate. Give yourself some time to mentally prepare for that special day ahead.
8. Raise a Glass
After the long and stressful wedding preparation, you are now ready to meet your wife-to-be! The only thing left to do? Raise a glass to you, to the guys beside you, and to your wedding day. Choose your favorite liquor and take a shot before walking out the door.
