22 Oct 7 Fun Things to Do in Kuala Lumpur
A lot of people have this misconception that the only way for you to enjoy your time in Kuala Lumpur is if you have a lot of money. Although certainly, you can enjoy the finer things that you can find in Malaysia’s capital city, but that is in no way true that you cannot enjoy your stay here in this beautiful place.
There are actually plenty of fun and exciting things that you can do that are quite inexpensive and some are even for free. Whether you bring some girl escorts or if you want to just wander around Kuala Lumpur by yourself, here are some fun things that you can do:
Take a Picnic
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Center Park (or KLCC park for short) is definitely one of the fun things that you can do that actually requires no money at all.
This is a huge park that you can see when you go up in the Petronas Towers. Anyway, there are plenty of things that you can do here and one of them is just sitting under the shade and experiencing what the city has to offer.
You can take a long walk, enjoy the pool, and you can even come by at night where you can see the dancing fountains if you want.
Climb the Batu Caves
One of the main tourist attractions in Selangor (just near KL) is definitely a pilgrimage site known as the Batu Caves. Now, although there are certainly some things to explore inside the caves, that is actually not the reason why you’d want to go here.
In fact, the main reason why tourists flock this place is thanks to the 272-rainbow-colored steps that you can find when you arrive. It took only 3 days to complete it, but man, these steps look absolutely amazing.
Be One with Nature
Considered to be one of the most well-protected forest reserves in Malaysia, the KL Eco-Park has a lot of walkways that you can traverse and be one with nature. Just make sure that you visit during the weekdays since the place can get really crowded over the weekends.
Enjoy Art at the Gallery
If you are into art or theatre, I highly recommend that you go to the National Art Gallery. Here, there are touring exhibitions that you can sign-up to that are absolutely free of charge. And, the entire place is actually quite amazing to see.
Go Mall Hopping
There are definitely a lot of malls that you can go to when you are in Kuala Lumpur. You can go to Suria KLCC or Pavilion Mall if you want some of the best, but you can also find others in the metro as well.
Find Some Inexpensive Treasures in the Street
Petaling Street is a tourist’s haven for souvenirs and other things. This is one of the best places in the world where you can sharpen your bargaining skills because you can trickle down the price significantly if you know how to haggle.
At night, it transforms into a bustling city market where you can also find different food stalls to keep your appetite going.
Take a Stroll at the Garden
The Botanic Garden is another picturesque location that you need to visit. This is the ideal place to have a date since the natural surroundings envelop you in a calming and peaceful aura.
